How does inhaling so much information daily create an inability to fully digest the digital content that we are seeing?
“Feed/Overfed” is a physical manifestation of the overwhelming anxieties brought upon by the daily mass consumption of images through social media. While we impulsively scroll and see posts one by one, it is a completely different experience to see the exhaustive amounts of images we take in all at the same time, laid out before your eyes in full. As the viewer stands surrounded by mixed and repeated images that resemble day-to-day posts, they are forced to sit with the formulated flood of information and the emotions that rise within them. By giving people a physical glimpse into my personal social media experience, I hope that it will allow people to reflect on their own experiences. How do you truly feel about all the media you are consuming?
